The Climb Cyrus

The Climb – Miley Cyrus

From a 12 year old pop singer, Miley Cyrus has come a long way. She rocks out your soul with this soulful ballad. From songs written just for little kids to bop their feet to, like, “I Got Nerve” and “Best of Both Worlds”, she is making the critics and honchos sit up and take her seriously.

It is an inspiring song, with a simplistic yet powerful range. The song lyrics are maturing (slowly if I may add), and have earned her a spot in the Country Music Charts.

The words “… every move I make feels lost with no direction, my faith is shaking” perhaps sums up the confusions that lie in front of every adolescent as they rise from a childhood treading into the real world. Even if the lyrics do get clichéd at points, Cyrus pulls it off confidently and suavely and the kids love her for it.

I still would not rate her next to Miranda Lambert or Taylor Swift, but she’s growing and making a steady transition from a kid to a woman.

I would recommend this song to all my tweeny-bopper readers and some of us willing to experiment.
